Is the hostel in the city centre?
Yes, the hostel is situated right in the city centre a close walk to all shopping areas as well as the liveliest nightlife areas.

Is breakfast included in the price?

We offer our guests free tea, coffee and toast around the clock. Alternatively, guests can use our self catering kitchen.

Is linen included?
Yes, all bed linen is included. Guests are advised to bring their own towels but we do have towels to rent for a nominal fee if you forget to bring one.

Car parking facilities?
Yes on a first come first serve basis - No charge.

What safekeeping facilities are provided?

We provide free safekeeping for small items at reception but the hostel cannot accept responsibility for any items lost or stolen.

Are left-luggage facilities provided?
Yes, we provide a secure baggage storage - No charge - accessible all day.

What are the check in and check out times?
Guest can check in at any time and they must check out by 11.00hrs.

Does the hostel have a curfew?
No, there is no curfew at The Albatross. Reception is staffed 24 hours a day.

Is there a lock out?

No, once checked in guests have access to the house and rooms with an electronic key card 24 hours a day.

Are any bedrooms ensuite?
No, all of our rooms are standard with toilets and showers on each floor.

What methods of payment are accepted?
We accept cash, credit cards (Mastercard and Visa) and travellers cheques only. When making a reservation either a deposit or credit card number is required to guarantee the reservation.

What is your cancellation policy?
For individual reservations the cancellation policy is 24 hours. For groups 2 weeks prior to arrival.

Do I have to be a member?
There is no membership fee involved as we are an independently owned hostel. To stay at The Albatross all you require is current photo identification.
